A New Chapter for V60
When the HARIO V60 was first introduced in 2005, it challenged the brewing norms of its time. Designed as a fast-flow dripper, it stood in contrast to the immersion-style brewers that dominated the market. At the time, its clean, quick-draining profile was sometimes misunderstood as being “too light.”
However, as specialty coffee evolved, so did the appreciation for clarity, precision, and controlled extraction, and the V60 became a global icon.
Now, 20 years later, we return to that founding principle with a new perspective. Today’s coffee landscape is defined by complex flavor profiles, experimental processing methods, and lighter, more delicate roast levels. These coffees demand greater control and consistency than ever before.
Which is why we developed the NEO.
Our Two-Year
Journey with Over
60
Prototypes
From initial concept to final production, the development of the NEO spanned nearly two years. Even after defining our core direction, we developed and tested more than 60 prototypes, refining every detail to achieve the performance and design we envisioned.
The color was also designed intentionally. At first glance, it appears as a flat black, but upon closer inspection, a deep hue with subtle green undertones emerges, evoking a sophisticated and deliberate design.
With the NEO, we set out to challenge conventional brewing approaches and redefine V60 brewing for the next generation.
iF Design Award
The NEO has been awarded the iF Design Award 2026, one of the world’s most prestigious design competitions. Recognized for its thoughtful product design, NEO stood out among more than 10,000 submissions from 68 countries. Established in 1954, the iF Design Award recognizes designs that excel across five key criteria: Idea, Form, Function, Differentiation, and Sustainability.
